10 Forgotten 90s Toys That Will Take You Straight Back to Childhood
Miss FunlandShare
Remember the thrill?
There’s something magical about toys from the 90s. They weren’t just plastic and paint! They were little pieces of our childhoods. Some were trendy for a moment, others became playground obsessions, and a few just quietly disappeared as we grew up. Today, we’re opening the time capsule on🔺10 forgotten 90s toys🔹that will hit you with instant nostalgia.
At Miss Funland, we live for that feeling! From mystery retro collectible boxes to VHS's and games, we’re all about bringing back those forgotten treasures. Let’s dive in!
1. Crazy Bones
Small, collectible, and endlessly tradeable! Crazy Bones were the definition of a schoolyard craze. These tiny, quirky figurines came in every color and face imaginable, and kids battled by flicking them across the floor. Did you keep yours in a pencil case? We did.
You might just find quirky collectibles like these tucked into our Mystery Funfinds Boxes.
2. Giga Pets & Tamagotchis
They beeped, they begged, and they “died” if you forgot to feed them. Virtual pets took over in the 90s, and it felt like everyone had one attached to their backpack. It was the first taste of responsibility many kids ever had (and probably our first heartbreak too).
3. Pogs & Slammers
If you weren’t stacking Pogs at recess, you were watching someone else do it. These cardboard discs and heavy “slammers” were more than a game, they were a phenomenon. Some kids had binders full of them, complete with shiny holographic designs.

4. Talkboy
Made famous by Home Alone 2, the Talkboy recorder was one of the coolest toys to own. Whether you used it to prank-call friends or just record silly voices, it made you feel like a movie star.
Retro tech treasures like these often appear in our VHS-themed mystery boxes↗️
5. Polly Pocket & Mighty Max
Tiny worlds in the palm of your hand. Polly Pocket and Mighty Max were pocket-sized universes that you could carry anywhere. They weren’t just toys — they were adventures in clamshell cases.
6. Koosh Balls
Those squishy, rubbery strands! Koosh balls were the ultimate desk toy. Toss them, squish them, or bounce them — they were simple, but addictive. They even showed up in classrooms because teachers used them as stress-relief tools.
7. Yak Bak
If you didn’t have a Talkboy, you probably had a Yak Bak. These pocket-sized recorders let you capture a few seconds of audio and play it back warped, fast, or backwards. They were the epitome of playground silliness.
8. Nickelodeon Gak
It came in a bright neon splat-shaped container, and it smelled… funky. Gak stretched, squished, and made fart noises when you pressed it into its tub. It was gross, hilarious, and pure Nickelodeon.
9. Creepy Crawlers
Like an Easy-Bake Oven, but for making bugs. With molds and “goop,” Creepy Crawlers let kids create their own wiggly, rubbery insects. Some kids collected them — others just loved grossing out their siblings.
10. Burger King Pokémon Toys
Remember the Pokémon: The First Movie promo? Burger King released a set of collectible toys that became an instant craze. They came in Pokéballs, sometimes with gold-plated cards. For a lot of kids, these were their first piece of Pokémon merch.
Wrapping It Up
The 90s were a golden era of toy crazes — from plastic collectibles to gooey slime to gadgets that beeped endlessly. Even if you don’t have your old stash anymore, there’s something special about reliving those moments.
That’s exactly why we created Miss Funland. Our mystery boxes are like opening your childhood toy chest all over again. Whether it’s VHS tapes, Hello Kitty surprises, or retro toy bundles, you never know what treasure you’ll find inside.
